There are the typical annual traditions: opening Christmas presents on Christmas morning, sending Birthday cards, going to brunch on Mother’s Day.
And then there is the lesser known annual tradition that happens each year on Easter: The Easter Beer Hunt. Saturday night, folks gather from all around to paint drinks in the living room. Then, on Easter Sunday, someone hides them all over. The rules are simple: You cannot find a new drink until you finish your existing one.
Each year, the tradition begins with painting a base layer on hundreds of cans and bottles. After the base layer dries, decorative paints are applied.
One year someone painted a Budweiser to look like a coke. Another year a bottle was camouflaged. Last year, someone even painted a soda to look like Mr. Potato Head!
This tradition is fun for all ages. The youngest age we know of was 3, when a little girl used stickers to decorate. The oldest age known was 85. That woman sure knew how to have a good time!
If you’re searching for a new addition to your holiday traditions, try the Annual Easter Beer Hunt. It's a pleaser for all ages!
