Did you ever see the movie Memento? It's about a guy who has lost his long-term memory. He writes memos to himself to remind his future self of what he was planning to do. These aren't the kind of memos that you'd expect to see on company letterhead. Instead, they're shorter, more personal, and more to the point—like notes on a Post It.
Just imagine what it would be like to be forced to communicate to your future self via memos. You'd have to write a memo to remind yourself of the most mundane things: what to get from the grocery store, what chores need to be done tomorrow morning, etc. But more interestingly, you'd also have to store your memories as memos as well. Since you wouldn't have enough long-term memory to write a well-thought-out diary entry, you'd have to write down each memory in a short note-like memo.
And then, how would you organize all of these memos? You'd probably end up with a very personalized method. What would yours be?
